IOM Project

Implemented in 2021 – in progress

IOM is a middleware that securely and reliably manages the exchange of messages between banks and the European Banking Authority, ensuring operational continuity, high performance, and control over large volumes of data and critical transactions.

The IOM is a middleware component developed by a leading service provider to facilitate the exchange of “messages” between banks and the EBA (European Banking Authority). A benchmark project in the sector, it handles large volumes of data and transactions on a daily basis, ensuring reliability and performance in a context critical to European banking operations. It guarantees continuous and secure monitoring of data flows, the ability to promptly retrieve information, and the reliable re-sending of acquired messages, thereby ensuring operational continuity. Designed to manage high volumes of data and critical transactions, it helps reduce response times and minimize risks through robust control and security mechanisms.

People

I have been working for a year in Widesolutions, and for about 6 months in a group called ‘DeliveryIOM’ where I mainly deal with ticket resolution (customer problems or jammed flows), package creation and release, system and DB side.

Ivan Ferlito

Linux

At the system level I had to learn all the facets of the Linux operating system to which I had to associate various software over time (Jenkins, Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes…).

Oracle Sql-pl/sql

At the database level I have always worked with relational databases, mainly Oracle, and I had to learn how the SQL language works. For a period of time I also studied pl/sql which in some circumstances came in handy.
