API Middleware and Data Integration in the Luxury Tourism Sector
Implemented in ongoing
Maintenance and development of an ASP.NET middleware with RESTful APIs for real-time integration between SQL Server databases and on-board/shore systems, along with automated jobs in .NET and Azure Functions for synchronization with the Otalio platform.
The project involves corrective and evolutionary maintenance of a middleware used to connect front-end software to the company’s database through the development and optimization of RESTful APIs in JSON format, built with ASP.NET. The middleware enables real-time data exchange with a Microsoft SQL Server database distributed between on-board and on-shore systems.
In parallel, I am responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated integration jobs, implemented via Azure Functions and .NET console applications, which interface directly with Otalio, a management system for the cruise industry. These jobs synchronize the data stored in the internal database with the Otalio platform through API calls. The processed information includes bookings, excursions, discounts, passenger data, and other entities critical to operations.
