Since 1863, the year of its inauguration, the Grand Hotel et de Milan has always written important pages in the cultural and economic history of Milan, and continues to do so today, thanks to its prestige and unchallenged elegance.
Its location, a few steps from La Scala, has made it a welcoming refuge for the greatest artists of all time, as well as a meeting place for important personalities from the economic and political world.
It is impossible not to mention names such as Caruso, Callas, Nureyev and Verdi, who were all frequent guests of the hotel.
Our celebratory evening on December 14, 2022, is centered around the figure of Verdi.
It is important to know, in fact, that the great opera composer made the “Milan” his home for 27 years, and even today the hotel is committed with great care and dedication to maintaining the splendid suite where the Maestro lived.
So, the talented and versatile artist Corinna Grandi, has staged a show in the very drawing room of Verdi’s home, a show she wrote and performed in, with an atmosphere as evocative as it is original.
Corinna, cheering up all the guests present, played the ghost of the opera singer Teresa Stolz, probable lover of the great composer and performer of his most famous arias.
In this performance, full of talent and emotion, the actress moved the audience with her memories of “her” Giuseppe.
Before the show, guests were welcomed in Jerry’s Bar, the iconic main hall of the hotel, and after the performance they had dinner in one of the hotel restaurants, accompanied by a fun entertainment show.
It was an unforgettable event for Wide Solutions and, we hope, also for our collaborators and customers.
